Mission

My name is Julia Berry. Born and raised in Indiana, I attended Indiana State University for Visual Art Ed and graduated 1996. In 2001, I graduated from Indiana Wesleyan University with an M.Ed. I teach Visual Art at Tippecanoe School Corporation/McCutcheon High School for 24+ years.
At the beginning of 2010, I decided I needed to find an outlet for my own art. I started a small painting studio in my home. I show my work at various venues and continue working on commission pieces during the year.
Teaching art has allowed me to experience numerous students with various learning abilities. As an educator, my goal is to provide a rewarding experience using everyday pleasurable situations to promote whole brain communication That means we use not just art, but movement, patterning, painting, sustained attentive focus, story-telling and praise to achieve our goals.
Artful Connections, LLC serves those living with autism, DS, Alzheimer's, Stroke, Memory Care, head injuries, and other Neurological disorders and
those who are Neurodivergent.
